So many of these leg spin tutorials don’t actually show how to release the
bull using the full action. As a result, I really can’t figure out what
direction my arm and wrist is meant to be facing mid-action, and exactly
when the ball gets released. Shane says “back of hand facing you” but that
means nothing unless you know when the release is meant to happen and what
direction your arm is meant to be facing. It’s frustrating for beginners
like me.
why are all these guides in shit quality?
RIP
wow….helpful….
Wow bobo
RIP Terry, I wish I had the chance to meet you, but the circumstances
didn’t arise :’-(
It is so awesome that this video exists!
@chasrat As a spinner your goal isnt to hit the stumps, but to force the
edge and catch.
@jawscricket – me too, quite a handy delivery every now and then, but not
six balls per over.
i bowl fast usually, but i can and want to bowl leg spin, is it advised to
change? help
@jawscricket I had this problem. You’ve cocked your wrist backwards where
the back of the hand is facing the batsman (creating a googly); instead
have your back-hand facing towards your face when you bowl. Don’t have the
seam directly aiming at the batsman, it would just be a top-spinner.
REMEMBER to leg-break, you need your back–hand facing your eyes. All the
best,,it took me two weeks, everyday bowling at stumps for 4 hours.
R.I.P frm INDIA 🙂 one of the best coaches of leg spin bowling

Good on ya TJ – You helped a wonderful bowler, Shane Warne, become the
great he was – . RIP Terry Jenner

to rethink bud =].
R.I.P
i took 3 wickets and 7 maiden overs with leg spin
Where was the video of him showing the 5 variations? We want that back!
R.I.P Mr. Jenner. Taught me Alot
A true pro I bowl leg-spin Of course no 1 will never be able to bowl like
warnie did tho wud be gud if he’d showed u the variations Wud actually like
shane warne to release a video explaining how he bowled WE WILL NEVER NO
@rad0ri ….The cocking of the wrist, not choking the ball too far back in
the hand and the back of the wrist facing down at your face from your above
right combined with the pivoting of the front foot to pull your body around
from right to left at release. See my above comments.
that wasn’t a legbreak, it was a topspinner…and i think an australian
test bowler and shane warne’s coach knows what he’s talking about.
@someblokecalleddave1 cheers, yeah, im still working on it. i went ok in my
first game…1/20 off 6 overs + a a dropped catch and a missed stumping 🙁
the next match was a one dayer and they attacked me a bit more. its still a
work in progress i guess. thanks for asking though 😉
